Fantastic. I spent two years as PCC secretary, and treading the boards between tact and diplomacy and honest recording of some of hte meetings was a bit of a quagmire! In my time, we had 3 faculties going on. Nightmare. Good luck with yours, hope your diocese bit quicker and more cooperative than ours!! (have you applied for grants from cadw, national heritage, the lottery etc?)

I think that the picture itself eludes to the fact that it is only temporary where it says “I will work on this picture and make it better or something like that” although I have to admit I quite like the picture but as it was only ever a temporary structure you do not need our permission to remove it, you will however need to apply for a new faculty if you wish to place a new more permanent structure in it’s place including detailed information and pictures where appropriate.

The DAC will reject your application once the SPOW (Society for the Preservation of Weblogs) make their objection. They don’t actually do anything useful, except insist that blogs remain exactly as they used to be, and never change, despite the fact that the users of the blog need something quite different, and can’t afford to maintain the blog in its old, unusable form. DACs seem to live on another planet, certainly not the one inhabited by Churchgoers and other genuinely interested parties, and they listen far too readily to Preservation Societies. Does this sound bitter? Oh yes.
