Christmas resources

Shepherds

Yes yes, I know, it’s way too early to be thinking about anything Christmas-related. But I know that some people need to be planning their December church publications (if in fact they haven’t done so already) and so I’ve added a Christmas Resources section to the main site. The first additions are three images, namely ‘He came down‘, ‘Shepherds‘ and ‘Everlasting light‘. All of these have been used a service sheet covers in the past, but they could be used in lots of other ways too. They may not be to everyones taste as two in particular don’t really have a ‘joke’ element, but then there are times when the a humorous image isn’t what is required. I’ve bumped up two cartoons, ‘Contact lens‘ and ‘Gifts‘ into this section as well.

Over the next couple of days I have a few other cartoons to upload and add to the Christmas section, as well as some worksheets for Advent and Christmas although they might not all appear for another week or two. I’m hoping though that there is enough there now to enable those who need to to meet deadlines for publications coming out at the beginning of December to do so.

Just a reminder (Sorry – I do go on don’t I?) that if you actually use the images in a publication or print them on an actetate or wherever that I ask you to buy a licence. The rates really are very reasonable and it is the only way I can afford to keep on doing this. Thank you!

(Note to Non-UK readers. If paying via Paypal in UK pounds is a problem do get in touch – thank you)

Some hip non-churchy non- in-your-face- gospel but provocative satire-style A5-ratioed cartoons (ideally available on pastel coloured glossy card) would rock. I think many Chrisitans like to use Christmas cards as an evangelistic opportunity (barge-pole witnessing!) but struggle to find chocolate amongst the cheese.

It’s true we’re just making our Christmas card but fortunately we’re using the artistic delight of the mural the young people painted in our church hall.

    Well anticipated Dave.

BTW I love the Everlasting light and just reading the title Contact Lens made me snigger again!!!

    Thanks for this feedback.

As far as Christmas cards go I’m afraid I don’t think I’m doing any this year at least. The main reason is because I wouldn’t sell enough to make it worthwhile – in fact I’d probably lose money doing it.

If there was an overwhelming outcry then I might think again, but I think that’s unlikely.

I may have suggested utlising CafePress if they were not in America. Maybe they take too much profit anyway.

Maybe consider a licence for personal-use greeting card printing? Currently I think it would go under the unlimited publications one which is £25?

The cartoons inspire me to use them. :)

I love your cartoons printed in the Church Times every week. Unfortunately for me I threw out the one showing church hierarchy. I can’t find it on your website. Can you tell me where I can find a copy?
