Long awaited green liquid quiz answer

In the Green liquid quiz I asked: “What is this green liquid, and what is it doing in this bottle?” I know everyone is longing to see a repost of the particularly tasteful photograph:

Liquid

Answers and details of the winner under ‘More’.

The green liquid is a special brand of water, brewed only here in Essex. The production is a highly specialised process which has been developed over hundre… several years. The water is obtained from the tap, bottled, then left in the back seat footwell of Maddie_C‘s car for at least 2 or 3 months. Anything less and the full fermentation and distillation doesn’t have time to be completed. Special bacteria (probably friendly, I’m not sure) and/or algae give the water it’s distinctive greeny green colour. The bottle is eventually removed from the car and photographed.

Congratulations to Tiffer, who got it more or less right first go. The prize is nothing. Unless you want the water of course. Thanks to everyone else who answered.

Another quiz with prizes coming very soon.
