Being terribly British about things

I’m very aware that the CartoonChurch.com site currently has rather a UK focus, which is slightly out of order bearing in mind the interest in the site from people around the world over the last few weeks. Particular issues which have arisen so far have been paper sizes, availability of the greetings cards and licence prices. Please click below if you’d like to know more about what I’m planning to do about these issues.

Paper sizes
I’m aware that the rest of the world doesn’t use A4 paper and so the worksheet pdfs may not fit on your paper properly. At the moment my advice is to use the gif image version of the worksheet (which is what I use to make the pdfs), save it onto your computer then create a document in whatever word processing programme you use. You’ll probably need to reduce the margins from your usual default, then add the gif image file. If you need to stretch it to do so then obviously you can, though in my humble opinion my work looks better not stretched! If you have any problems doing this let me know and I’ll have a rethink. If someone would like me to produce the image with given dimensions get in touch and I’ll see what can be done.

Greetings cards
Yes, I know, there’s still a note saying no orders from outside the UK. I just need to check out the legal / tax situation, but so far my attempts to get the information I need from the relevant websites here in the UK have proved unfruitful. I’m working on it.

Licence prices
I’m hoping that Paypal will allow buyers in the rest of the world to buy in UK pounds. If not I shall have to think again. For guidance the current prices quoted on Paypal for a £35 (ie the price of a CartoonChurch.com entire site licence) amount are:

£35
$65.92 USD
$87.05 AUD
$83.22 CAD
52.21 Euros
7,092 JP YEN

Please note these are correct as of 19th May 2005 but will fluctuate.

If you are paying in a different currency and need any guidance at all do not hesitate to let me know.
