I actually witnessed a conversation between her and my brother that went like this: "Ok in 2003 we sent them a card and they sent us a card and a newsletter; then in 2004 we sent them a card and a newsletter*, but they sent us nothing...what do you want to do this year?" I've lived at my current address for 15 years and still get a card for the previous occupants. It's actually making me feel guilty now, but they've never left an address. So... Vic and Jean from Essex - Can you PLEASE phone Bob and Mary from Dorset? It'll explain why they never sent you a card back... (I enjoy your blog - I'm usually a Bah Humbug sort! Thanks!)
