If you haven't seen the television show "Look Around You", you should do something to change that (I reccomend watching it). You seem like you have the right type of thought process to appreciate all that the show has to offer.

Mary - I don't think you've done anything too terible. The 'trackback' link is one which someone can use to make their blog contact this blog to say their blog has linked to this one. Yes, it is highly complicated and can only be achieved with a special diploma, three or four years experience and a certain amount of luck. Clicking that link just brings you back to this page for reasons best known to itself.

Thanks to everyone for all the comments here on the advent calendar blog. Sorry not to be replying to everything, but I have been trying to meet some deadlines and preoccupying myself with doing so.

Ummm...I just clicked on "trackback", just to see what would happen; my screen blipped for a sec., then it said "DONE". Done what? Where? What have I done? Oh, gracious, what have I done?

(I really do want to know!)

Or use those gift bags that're appearing all over. I recently saw some garbage bags (that'd be "bin liners" to you over there) all festively patterned in green and red. You could even fit a smallish pony in one of those.

Possible solutions:
-take your knife and cut the tape through the middle to make your roll of tape into a stack of perfect-size tape pieces.
-use your teeth
-get presents that don't need wrapping... like a pony

You forgot to mention the fact that the person who used the tape before you didn’t find the end properly and now there is an end on both the left and right plus an extra side running up the middle for about three complete circumferences.
